IMC Limited (IMC) is India’s leading Independent Oil & Gas and Bulk Petroleum Liquid Terminal and Infrastructure Company. IMC has a network of 25 Terminals at 15 Port locations all accruing 1.25 Mm.cub of storage capacity all along the coastal line, with throughput of over 8 Million Metric Tons per annum. IMC provides storage and handling facilities for Petroleum Products / Fuels, Liquefied Gases, Petrochemicals, Lubes and other liquid products. IMC also operate a Marine Liquid Jetty at Kamarajar Port (Ennore Port) on BOT basis.

About the Role

Vice President - Storage Tank Terminal Operations

Reporting to: CEO

Experience: 25+ years

Qualification: BE/BTech (Chemical or Mechanical) with MBA

Location: Chennai Corporate Office

Responsibilities

- Responsible for the overall business, operations and growth of Terminal business with due respect to customer satisfaction and company’s policies.
- Following changes in the market dynamics, interaction with regional & terminal team related terminal operations, maintenance & safety issues for storage and handling of petroleum, chemicals, liquefied gases and vegetable oils at various terminals.
- Operations, Maintenance & Commercial
- Responsible for implementing company’s mission & vision statements and policies
- Identifying and forecasting potential market and establish stable customer base.
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities in liquid storage & allied areas.
- Conduct market research, SWOT analysis, competitor analysis, and monitor industry trends to identify opportunities.




- Analyzing import/export data of bulk liquid products through various ports to identify potential customers
- Maintain & Sustain business alliances with the customer by consistent follow up, interactions & visit their places, etc.
- Scanning the industrial environment to identify potential opportunities from new manufacturing facilities or expansion of existing facilities.
- Study of contract agreements, coordination with legal department, other business verticals for finalization of the same
- Studying of new tenders which are relevant to us, making tender query and taking up with tendering authority, etc.
- Making of IRR models in coordination with finance team for the new proposals.
- Monitoring performance of the regions, terminals and guide them to initiate corrective action wherever required.
- Implementation of Operations Excellence, best practices as per standards.
- Ensuring following of SOPs, ISO system requirements and various standards like OISD, ISGOTT, etc.
- Review of all drawings, P&ID;, PFD, etc for any new projects, modifications in the existing facilities.
- Monitoring of all projects activities and closely coordinate with Corporate Projects division, Port departments, other local agencies, statutory authorities and timely commissioning of the projects, debottlenecking & optimization.
- Plan / suggest modifications, changes in the systems for continuous improvements to have secure & efficient operations.




- Monitor product stock loss/ gains in the storage tanks, monitor quality, contaminations, etc. and meet customer commitments in all terminals.
- Regularly interaction with Regional GMs & terminal team related to Operations, Maintenance & safety issues and guiding them.
- Responsible to creating an environment where heads of departments in the region and terminals are able to deliver their best
- Implement HSSEQ standards as per corporate HSSE policy motivating all employees to comply safety requirements.
- Responsible to create a healthy safety culture amongst the team members.
- Implementing safety management system. Taking care overall safety and security of the terminal including projects stage safety.
- Firefighting System & Foam system readiness all the time in all the terminals.
- Ensuring the maintaining of asset integrity, reducing the equipment down time through implementing & monitoring of preventive maintenance plan
- Coordination with corporate HR, finance and project departments on relevant issues
- Ensuring employee training, performance monitoring and grievance management, etc.
- Any other work assigned by CEO

Finance & Commercial

- Ensuring the preparation of annual budget, present for management approval, control the utilization of budget in an efficient manner.
- Conducting periodic review, variance analysis and taking corrective steps require to correct deviations if any.

Experience Requirement

- B.E (Chemical/Mechanical) along with MBA/Executive MBA/PGDBM having around 25 years of experience in marketing & operations, preferably in petroleum/chemicals storage & logistics business or from any other allied business verticals.

Other Skills

- Good computer skills and well versed in word, excel, PPT, etc.
- Skill in the regional languages preferred.
