Role Overview :

- The Sales Head-FMCG (Maharashtra) will be responsible for leading and managing the sales operations for G S Tea across the Maharashtra region.


- This role involves developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, expanding market share, and building strong relationships with key distributors and retailers.


- The Sales Head will lead a team of Area Sales Managers and Sales Executives, providing guidance and support to drive sales performance and ensure effective execution of sales plans.


- The impact of this role is crucial in strengthening G S Tea's market position and driving sustainable growth in the Maharashtra region.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the Maharashtra region.

- Lead and manage a team of Area Sales Managers and Sales Executives, providing coaching, training, and performance management.

- Build and maintain robust relationships with key distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective product placement and promotion.

- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.





- Develop and manage the sales budget for the Maharashtra region, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective sales operations.

- Ensure effective execution of sales plans, promotional activities, and trade marketing initiatives to drive sales volume and brand visibility.

- Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to develop and launch new products and promotional campaigns.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sales activities.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies in the FMCG sector, specifically within the Maharashtra region.

- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and manage a high-performing sales team.

- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills to effectively manage distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders.

- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

- Exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate sales plans and performance updates to stakeholders.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.

- 15-20 years of experience in sales management within the FMCG industry, with a significant focus on the Maharashtra market.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and energetic environment, adapting to changing market conditions and business priorities.
