Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced In-Process Quality Engineer / Inspector for our ISO, IATF & IRIS certified manufacturing facility engaged in sheet metal fabrication for metro rail and automotive components. The candidate will be responsible for stage-wise inspection, process monitoring, documentation control, and ensuring zero-defect manufacturing as per customer and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform in-process inspection at:
· Laser Cutting
· CNC Bending
· Welding & Fabrication
· Passivation & Pickling
· Assembly & Packing
· Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) & First Piece Approval.
· Verify dimensions as per engineering drawings and GD&T.;
· Monitor Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters.
· Identify and segregate non-conforming products.
· Raise NCR and perform Root Cause Analysis (5 Why, Fishbone).
· Implement and verify CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions).
· Maintain inspection reports, traceability records, and quality documentation.
· Support internal & external audits (ISO / IATF / IRIS).
· Ensure compliance with automotive and metro rail customer requirements.
Required Qualification
· Diploma / BE / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
· 3+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication quality.
· Experience in automotive or metro rail manufacturing preferred.
