The ideal candidate should be capable of handling ground reporting, political coverage, interviews, and field journalism across Ranchi and surrounding regions. This role requires someone who understands local issues, maintains professional contacts, and can deliver accurate and timely news content for digital platforms. ⸻ Key Responsibilities

- Cover news related to Jharkhand politics, government departments, and public interest issues
- Attend press conferences, political events, protests, and administrative meetings
- Conduct field reporting and gather information from reliable sources
- Take video bites, interviews, and statements from politicians, officials, and public representatives
- Coordinate with editorial team for script preparation and publishing
- Identify important and trending local topics for news coverage
- Maintain skilled relationships with government departments and local sources
- Deliver accurate, factual,



and timely reporting
- Contribute to digital and social media news content ⸻ Requirements
- Strong familiarity with Jharkhand politics and political leaders
- Minimum 3 years experience in journalism or reporting
- Based in Ranchi or willing to work in Ranchi & nearby areas
- Strong knowledge of current affairs and local issues
- Good communication and interviewing skills
- Ability to handle breaking news and field assignments
- Basic understanding of social media and digital journalism
