Program Overview
Chevron ENGINE is pleased to announce its annual Apprenticeship Program for undergraduate students. The program is designed to bridge academic learning with hands-on industry exposure, enabling students to build practical skills, gain professional experience, and develop future ready capabilities.

- Business Function: ENGINE IT

- Discipline: All Computer Science Engineering related branches, Information Science, Information Technology

- Duration: 6 months (In office during summer break; hybrid/remote thereafter, need based)

- Stipend: INR 15,000 per month

Job Description

The Software Engineer – Apprentice Trainee – Integration & Automation will design, build, and support secure, scalable, and resilient integration and infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure and modern automation practices. The role emphasizes AI-assisted engineering, infrastructure automation, and end to end integration delivery across applications, platforms, and data systems.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering

- Design,



build, and manage scalable and secure infrastructure on Microsoft Azure using Infrastructure as Code (Ansible)

- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for infrastructure provisioning and application deployment

- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, and Ansible to reduce manual effort

Integration Engineering

- Design and deliver high-quality integration solutions connecting applications, platforms, and data systems

- Translate business workflows into robust, secure, and scalable integrations

- Collaborate closely with domain experts to acquire and apply domain knowledge

AI, Automation & Innovation

- Leverage AI-assisted engineering to accelerate development, improve code quality, enhance testing, and reduce rework

- Support the development of automation prototypes, including:

- Understanding and refining requirements

- Identifying tools and technologies

- Designing solution architecture and data flow diagrams

- Building and validating working prototypes

- Presenting outcomes and recommendations to the ENGINE Cyber team

Documentation & Collaboration

- Document infrastructure designs, automation workflows, and integration processes

- Demonstrate strong system thinking, delivery excellence, and continuous learning

Eligibility Criteria

- Applicants must be in good academic standing with a minimum CGPA of 7

- Preference will be given to students currently in their second year and progressing into the third year of study.

- Applicants should demonstrate an interest in technology, innovation, and engineering problem solving through coursework, projects, or extracurricular activities
