Job Description

NonStop Database Admin:

Perform NonStop Database Admin tasks that may include, but not limited to support activities such as the following: Database Product Installation, Maintenance, Planning, Monitoring, Reorgs, Connectivity, Refresh, Performance Tuning, NonStop SQL/MP Database management, App team assistance on SQL/MP Query design for efficient query performance, Perform Oracle GoldenGate Replication Implementation, Monitoring and Support across the NonStop environment, work Incidents, Changes, Problems/RCAs as required, Provide on call Support.

• Database Product Installation, Maintenance, Planning, Monitoring, Reorgs, Connectivity, Refresh, Performance Tuning

• Physical Database Support, Tuning and Stress Testing support

• Incident, Change request, Problem ticket Management, RCAs

• Perform Production Maintenance Window Coordination





• Application-level Database Performance Tuning

• Database Security Enhancement Management

• Support DBA Procedure Documents

• Review and work to resolve Locking Conflicts, Latch Contention, Rollback Requirements

• SQL/MP Database management, SQL/MP Query design for performance

• SQL/MX Database management, SQL/MX Query Analysis and Tuning, SQL/MX Programming as required

• Support Oracle GoldenGate Replication Implementation, Monitoring and Support across the NonStop workplace
