Role Overview

n

We are looking for a Senior Legal Manager to lead our legal verification operations. This is a high-ownership, foundational role - you will be the primary legal authority at Lexdeed, responsible for the quality and accuracy of every due diligence report we deliver to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Lead end-to-end legal review of property title documents — including ownership chain verification, encumbrance checks, revenue records, litigation status, and regulatory compliance

n
- Own the quality and sign-off of due diligence reports delivered to bank and NBFC clients

n
- Manage and mentor a team of junior advocates and legal executives

n
- Serve as the primary legal point of escalation for client queries and complex cases

n
- Review and interpret key documents including sale deeds, EC, patta, chitta, A-register, building approvals, and RERA filings

n
- Identify title defects, legal risks, and encumbrances — and recommend transparent mitigations

n
- Stay current on Tamil Nadu property law, registration rules, revenue department circulars, and relevant court precedents

Who are we looking for

n





LLB / LLM with 6–10 years of experience in property law, conveyancing, or legal due diligence

n

Strong command of Tamil Nadu-specific property laws: Registration Act, Transfer of Property Act, Tamil Nadu Land Reforms Act, RERA, SARFAESI, etc.

n

Prior experience working with or for banks, NBFCs, HFCs, or legal due diligence firms is strongly preferred

n

Fluent in Tamil (written and spoken) — essential for reviewing regional documents

n

Sharp eye for detail with a structured, process-oriented approach to legal review

n

Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment with a lean team
