Role Description

This is a remote internship opportunity for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) Intern. In this role, you will collaborate with the development team to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions. Responsibilities include writing clean, optimized code, troubleshooting and debugging technical issues, and participating in code reviews. You will contribute to the implementation of new features, integrate APIs, and ensure product quality through testing and development best practices.

Qualifications
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript
Familiarity with web development frameworks and tools
Experience in problem-solving, data structures, and algorithms




Basic understanding of version control systems like Git
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a remote setting
Passion for learning and applying recent technologies
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities:
Build and maintain backend APIs for prediction and recommendation systems
Work with structured datasets (cutoffs, rankings, user data)
Design and query databases using PostgreSQL and Prisma
Implement core product features like college prediction, optimization logic, and user workflows
Collaborate on rapid product iterations and ship features quickly

Requirements:
Strong fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js preferred) or Python
Experience with SQL and database design
Familiarity with REST APIs
Ability to work with CSV/data processing
Problem-solving mindset and ability to move quick

Positive to Have:
React / Next.js
Prisma or any ORM
Experience with scraping or APIs
Basic understanding of probability/logic systems
