Summary:
As a Business Analyst, you will engage in a variety of tasks that involve analyzing organizational processes and systems. Your typical day will include assessing the current state of business models, identifying customer requirements, and defining future states or business solutions. You will conduct research, gather data, and synthesize information to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency. Collaboration with various teams will be essential as you work to align business objectives with technological capabilities, ensuring that solutions are both effective and sustainable.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and ensure stakeholder alignment.




- Analyze data and trends to inform strategic planning and decision-making.

Professional & Technical Skills:
Experience in Commercial Lines / Personal Lines

o Base rates, modifiers, surcharges, discounts, minimum premiums

o Deductibles, limits, endorsements and UW rules impacting rating

Hands-on experience with Rate Books, Rate Tables, Rate Routines, Parameter Sets and Pricing Worksheets

Understanding of:

o Rate flow in PolicyCenter (Quote Bind Issue)

o Different transactions Like submission, Policy Change, Cancellation, Overrride, renewal, reinstatement, rewrite

o Ability to analyze rating defects, Premium discrepancies and Rounding logic issues

o Working knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter and Guidewire Rating

UAT coordination & defect triage

Experience in reviewing SQL queries for rating validation and Data mapping documents

BRD / FRD preparation for:

o Rate changes

o New product launches

o Regulatory updates

Stakeholder management:

o Actuarial

o Underwriting

o IT Config teams

Understanding of tools like JIRA, Confluence, Excel (Advanced – pivot, premium validation modeling) and SQL

Additional Information:

- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter BA.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
