Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Job Summary** We are seeking a skilled **Accounting Associate (Research & Engineering Analyst)** to join **India Analytics CoE** - **Global Finance Services Division.** + The Incumbent would have the opportunity to champion our Global Finance Transformation by providing quality analysis from our Analytic COE + This is an exciting opportunity supporting Caterpillar's Integrated Components & Solutions (ICS) Division (that provides trusted engineering, research, validation, and manufacturing services to internal clients, as well as provides technology leadership to the enterprise). + This Research and Engineering (R&E;) Analyst role will not only enhance one's communication, presentation and financial analysis skills through challenging job responsibilities and regular interaction with local leadership but also provide opportunities for collaboration and networking across the enterprise. The preference for this role is to be based out of **Whitefield Office, Bangalore, India** **What you will do** **Research and Engineering (R&E;) Accounting** Job Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: + Providing technical expertise and performing complex accounting work that supports R&E; processes + Enterprise coordination of R&E; system processes in support of monthly closing and annual budgeting cycles + Working with extended teams providing timekeeping, invoicing and accounting support as required + Participating in and/or leading the development and supporting business process improvements as part of the Global Finance Strategy + Developing into a subject matter expert for R&E; systems & reporting, who provides guidance and training to the Enterprise for select time entry systems, R&E; systems & reporting **Process Transition & Improvement:** + Performing the tasks related to the transition of the projects in line with COE scope of work, timelines,



business requirements and defined metrics/KPIs + Participating in knowledge transfer sessions, defining and owning the documentation (instruction manuals and scorecards/trackers) + Partnering with multiple global stakeholders on day-to-day operations + Identifying and leveraging on tools and technologies to transform processes + Driving continuous improvement via simplification, standardization and automation + Embedding change management best practices **What you will have** + Experience with Research & Engineering type expense management + Proficiency with large databases and advanced reporting tools such as Power BI + Ability to quickly learn Caterpillar management reporting methodology and knowledge about products, suppliers, and consumers + Proven experience in financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, intercompany and month end processes + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data, trends and patterns + Excellent customer service skills working in a global environment with multiple stakeholders to drive outcomes + Self-starter, works well independently and in a team, with excellent communication skills + Experience in process transitions and transformations in a virtual environment + CA or MBA Finance with 3-6 years of progressive experience + **The position requires the candidate to work a 5-a day -week schedule in the office.** **Additional Information** + Work timings 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. IST + Work from office + IC (individual contributor) role **Skills desired:** **Accuracy and Attention to Detail** : Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
