Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Production Management

- Responsible for daily shift-wise production planning

- To maintain target production output with rejection controls and quality.

- To monitor the production process and re-schedule, whenever required.

- Responsible for inventory control during the shift

- Responsible for manpower utilization during the shift

- To maintain shift-wise production data in terms of quantity produced, % rejections, down-time, Material consumption, power consumption

Resource Optimization

- To take measures to decrease the operating cost.

- To minimise total downtime due to various factors

Continuous Improvement

- To implement quality guidelines, tools, techniques etc

- To identify new improved processes for productivity improvement

Maintenance

- To co-ordinate with maintenance staff for break-down and preventive maintenance of furnace

- To ensure proper furnace lining as and when done

Safety and Health

- To implement safety guidelines in the department

- To ensure proper house-keeping in the department

People Management

- To deal efficiently with the labour in the department

- Computer skills

Technical Knowledge

- Physical properties and quality of raw material

- Metal chemistry of CI and SGI

- Microstructure of CI and SGI

- Charge calculation and sequence for different grades

- Effect of inoculation in metallurgy of CI

- Mg treatment in SGI

- Effect of trace elements in CI

- Interpretation of chill sample for quality of melt

- Knowledge of melting process

- Spectrometer and carbon equivalent meter

- Furnace lining and ladle lining

- Furnace overhauling

- Process control parameters

Job Type: Full time

Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
