Role Overview The General Ledger Specialist plays a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and integrity. You will be responsible for managing general ledger activities, supporting the month-end close, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across the organization. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain month-end close activities including accruals and journal entries Perform balance sheet and P&L; reconciliations and reporting Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts Review financial data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies Prepare and analyze financial statements Support audits, tax preparation,



and compliance activities Collaborate with cross-functional teams for accurate financial reporting Assist in improving accounting systems, policies, and processes Manage AP-related tasks and expense tracking workflows Requirements 5–7 years of experience in General Ledger, Accounting, or Finance (AP/AR exposure is a plus) Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes Proficiency in Excel for financial reporting and analysis Experience with accounting systems (NetSuite preferred) Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a rapid-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Flexibility to work UK/US hours CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification is a plus Pro5 is a global platform helping thousands of vetted professionals get hired by top employers.
