Position : Perfusionist

Experience Required: 4–10 Years

Job Summary

The Perfusionist will be responsible for operating the heart-lung machine and related equipment during cardiac and other surgeries requiring cardiopulmonary bypass. The candidate should have solid technical skills, a deep understanding of physiology, and experience managing extracorporeal circulation during complex surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor the heart-lung machineand other extracorporeal support systems during cardiac surgeries.
- Maintain and regulate patient blood flow, oxygenation, temperature, and pressureduring procedures.
- Prepare, assemble, and calibrate perfusion equipment before surgery.
- Manage cardiopulmonary bypass, intra-aortic balloon pump, and cell saveroperations as required.
- Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staffto ensure optimal patient care.
- Monitor patient's physiological parameters and respond to emergency situations effectively.




- Maintain accurate perfusion records and adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Ensure proper maintenance and sterilization of all perfusion-related equipment.
- Participate in continuing education and departmental meetings to stay updated on advances in perfusion technology.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's / Master's degreein Perfusion Technology or an equivalent field.
- Certification / Registrationas a Perfusionist (preferred or as per institutional requirement).
- Minimum 4–10 years of hands-on experiencein a cardiac surgery setup.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Salary: As per industry standards / Negotiable based on experience
