We are seeking a seasoned MEP Manager with a robust background in both building services and large-scale road infrastructure projects. This role is based at our Head Office in Erode and requires a professional who can bridge the gap between technical design, site execution, and strategic procurement.

Role Overview

- Position: MEP Manager
- Experience: 8 to 10 Years
- Location: Erode (Head Office)
- Industry: Construction / Infrastructure
- Core Focus: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Firefighting (MEP) systems for Buildings & Road Projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Management & Execution

- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of MEP works for high-rise buildings and road infrastructure (street lighting, high-mast, utility shifting, and drainage systems).
- Coordinate with site engineers to ensure installations align with approved shop drawings and project timelines.
- Monitor progress on-site and implement corrective actions to avoid schedule slippage.

2. Strategic Procurement & Vendor Management

- Lead the MEP Procurement process, including identifying vendors, evaluating technical bids, and negotiating contracts.
- Source high-quality materials for HVAC, Electrical switchgear, Plumbing fixtures, and specialized road infrastructure components.
- Manage supply chain logistics to ensure timely delivery of long-lead items to various project sites.

3. Design Review & Quality Control

- Review MEP designs and drawings to identify potential clashes or optimization opportunities (Value Engineering).
- Ensure all MEP works comply with National Building Code (NBC), local authority regulations, and safety standards.




- Conduct regular quality audits and snag-list inspections.

4. Budgeting & Cost Control

- Prepare detailed MEP cost estimates and budgets for new tenders and ongoing projects.
- Track expenditures against budgets and manage variations/change orders effectively.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years in the MEP sector, with a proven track record in Road Infrastructure (Integrated lighting/utilities) and Building Projects (Commercial/Residential).
- Procurement Expertise: Solid knowledge of market rates, vendor networks, and contract negotiation specific to MEP.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM (Revit) is a significant advantage.

Soft Skills

- Leadership: Ability to manage decentralized site teams from a central Head Office.
- Communication: Fluent in English and Tamil (preferred for local coordination).
- Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to resolving technical bottlenecks on-site.
