Role Summary
The Project Delivery Manager is responsible for end-to-end governance and successful delivery of multiple Tax Technology programs, overseeing a portfolio of projects led by Project Managers and delivery teams.
This role ensures consistent delivery standards, adherence to timelines, quality outcomes, and stakeholder alignment, while driving operational excellence across implementations.
Key Responsibilities
1) Delivery Governance & Program Oversight
- Oversee and govern multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment to scope, timelines, cost, and quality benchmarks
- Establish and enforce project governance frameworks, including planning, tracking, risk management, and change control
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to Project Managers, ensuring delivery consistency and issue resolution
- Drive standardization of delivery methodologies, tools, and reporting practices across projects
- Monitor project health through dashboards, KPIs, and regular reviews, ensuring proactive risk mitigation
2) Stakeholder Management & Client Engagement
- Act as a senior escalation point for delivery risks, issues, and client concerns
- Engage with internal leadership and external clients to ensure alignment on delivery expectations and outcomes
- Present program updates, risks, and performance insights to senior stakeholders
- Ensure client satisfaction through consistent delivery quality and communication
3) Business Analysis & Solution Oversight
- Guide teams in eliciting and documenting complex business requirements (functional and technical)
- Ensure solution design aligns with client requirements and industry best practices
- Oversee review and sign-off of business requirements and solution documentation
- Provide direction on solution architecture, process improvements, and data flow optimization
- Support demo strategy and client presentations for Tax Technology solutions
4) Tax Technology & Domain Leadership
- Build and drive expertise in Tax Technology solutions and regulatory requirements
- Ensure teams stay updated on tax regulations, compliance changes, and industry trends
- Provide direction on solution selection, implementation approach, and best practices
- Drive knowledge sharing and capability building across teams
5) Technical & Implementation Oversight
- Oversee end-to-end implementation lifecycle including development, customization, testing, and deployment
- Ensure robust integration with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and external systems (APIs, SFTP, etc.)
- Guide teams in troubleshooting, defect management, and issue resolution
- Drive process improvements and optimization of existing Tax Tech applications
- Ensure readiness for go-live, post-go-live support, and stabilization
6) Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure high-quality deliverables through structured testing, UAT coordination, and validation processes
- Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains across delivery lifecycle
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on project learnings and feedback
- Establish and track quality metrics and performance indicators
7) Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and mentor Project Managers and cross-functional delivery teams
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and accountable delivery culture
- Identify and address skill gaps through training and development initiatives
- Promote knowledge sharing across teams (delivery, product, support)

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field
- 6–10 years of experience in IT implementation and project delivery, with exposure to managing multiple projects
- Experience in Tax Technology implementations and ERP integrations (SAP/Oracle)
- Multi-country experience preferred

- Exposure to e-invoicing, e-waybill, and compliance systems
- Experience in solution architecture, vendor selection, and system integration design
