About the client:n
We are looking for a Principal Officer to be based at GIFT City for a leading broking firm. Job Roles and Responsibilities:
n
Act as the Principal Officer as per IFSC regulatory requirements and ensure overall compliance.
Oversee daily broking operations, including trade execution and settlement processes.
Monitor and manage commodity trading / derivatives trading activities.
Conduct market research and provide insights on trading strategies.
Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines (IFSCA, SEBI, AML/KYC norms).
Liaise with regulators, exchanges, and internal compliance teams.
Identify and mitigate operational and market risks.
Support business development and client relationship management initiatives.
Maintain proper documentation, reporting, and audit readiness.
Qualification and Experience:n
Minimum 3+ years of experience in broking, trading, or capital markets.
Experience in commodity trading / derivatives analysis / research is preferred.
Solid understanding of IFSC / GIFT City regulatory framework.
Knowledge of compliance, risk management, and operational processes.
Positive analytical and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or related field.
Relevant certifications (NISM / NCFM) will be an added advantage.
Other Details:n
Candidates currently working with broking firms, trading desks, or research houses.
Exposure to international markets or IFSC environment will be a plus.
