using the principles of human-centred design HCD and behavioural sciences For more information please visit our website https pciglobal in About Program PCI India is a technical partner of the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission PCI is providing technical assistance around integrations of Health Nutrition HN Gender and Women Economic Empowerment WEE and Decentralised Renewable Energy interventions with community platforms promoted by UPSRLM UPSRLM has promoted a community based Decentralised Renewable Energy Company Prerna-OJAS Prerna OJAS was the outcome of million soul initiative supported by Ministry of Current Renewable Energy After the Million Soul project got over Prerna-OJAS a private limited company is in the business of manufacturing and supply of Solar Based products and implements DRE initiatives with rural communities PCI India has collaborated with Prerna-OJAS for providing technical assistance for supporting Prerna-OJAS for improving its systems business operations management marketing branding business development and design development and implementation of DRE pilots for ushering green revolution in Uttar Pradesh The technical support will enable Prerna-OJAS is creating 1 lakh Green Jobs for rural women leading to economic empowerment of Rural Women Position Summary The Consultant - Business Enterprise Development will play a key role in driving growth and expanding market presence for the Prerna OJAS company in the solar and renewable energy sector This individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities developing strategic partnerships and creating tailored solutions that align with the company s objectives and sustainability goals The incumbent will be required to formulate Business Plans Proposals Detailed Project Reports DPRs scout and identify opportunities for business development will assess and improve product designs packaging and branding The role requires in-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies market trends and DRE regulatory frameworks for Prerna OJAS The incumbent will report to Program Manager-DEWEE and work in close supervision of CEO-Prerna OJAS Key Responsibilities 1 Strategic Business Development Identify evaluate and pursue business opportunities in renewable energy sustainability and aligned sectors Develop business growth strategies and action plans to expand market presence for DRE service provider enterprises located at block-level across the state Conduct market research to assess potential partners funding opportunities and industry trends Write compelling grant proposals concept notes EoIs and funding applications tailored to donor requirements Manage grant agreements ensuring compliance with donor guidelines and timely reporting 2 Proposal and DPR Development Prepare detailed and persuasive project proposals to align with client and funder requirements Develop Detailed Project Reports DPRs outlining project objectives financial models technical plans and implementation strategies Ensure proposals and DPRs are data-driven compliant with regulatory requirements and aligned with organizational goals 3 Capacity Building and Advocacy Train and mentor team members in credit access market assessment fulfilling DPR and ensuring quality submission Advocate for the organization s goals in industry forums policy discussions exhibitions and other public platforms Recognise prospective clients in the region creates a client database identifying their needs initiates follow-up actions and prepares financial models and planning template for their growth 4 Tasks as and when required depending upon the program s requirement Qualifications Education Graduate degree in Management Renewable Energy Engineering or related fields MBA-Business Development Rural Management are preferable Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in business development within the renewable energy sector with a focus on solar energy Build market position by locating developing defining and formalizing business partnerships Experience in working with women SHG and solar-powered entrepreneurs will be added advantage Skills Strong understanding of solar energy systems renewable energy technologies and market dynamics Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills Proficiency in financial modelling and project management tools Ability to analyse regulatory frameworks and their implications for business operations Key Attributes Results-driven with a Go to Market attitude who has an ability to connect with people build client contacts at higher level and should be able to convert contacts into business opportunities Passion for sustainability and renewable energy Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines policies and procedures Additional Requirements Willingness to travel for client meetings conferences and site visits This position is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the growth of a forward-thinking organization in the renewable energy sector Application Closure Date 5th Oct 2025 Job Type Contractual Temporary Contract length 11 months Pay 13 317 14 -
