Position: Senior Lab Chemist – R&D; (Hydrometallurgy)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Lab Chemist to lead our R&D; efforts in Hydrometallurgy for cobalt and nickel extraction. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in laboratory management, process development, and scaling lab results to pilot plant level.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage R&D; projects related to hydrometallurgical extraction of metals
- Develop, optimize, and validate metallurgical processes for cobalt and nickel
- Supervise laboratory staff and ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols
- Oversee analytical testing and data interpretation for process improvement
- Liaise with production and engineering teams to transition R&D; outputs to plant operations
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and compliance with environmental & safety regulations
- Research emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in hydrometallurgy

Qualifications

- M.Sc. / M.Tech / Ph.D. in Chemistry, Metallurgy, or related discipline




- 10–15 years of experience in R&D; with a focus on hydrometallurgy
- Proven track record in cobalt/nickel extraction projects
- Robust leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency with analytical instruments and laboratory management systems
