QA Engineer / SDET – Intelligent Warehouse Systems

Role Overview

We are looking for hands-on QA Engineers / SDETs with real-world warehouse systems experience who can take ownership of testing complex, decision-driven platforms.

Our platform manages warehouse workflows, inventory movement, and autonomous decision-making systems. These systems operate with minimal human intervention, and failures directly impact physical warehouse operations.

This role requires strong expertise in:

- Warehouse domain workflows
- Python-based automation
- Playwright UI testing
- End-to-end regression ownership

Key Responsibilities

1. Regression Testing Ownership

- Own and maintain end-to-end regression suites for critical warehouse flows
- Identify and safeguard non-negotiable workflows, including:
- Order lifecycle
- Inventory state transitions
- Task creation, assignment, and completion
- Ensure regressions detect:
- Workflow failures
- Decision logic side effects
- Downstream operational issues
- Build stable, CI-ready regression pipelines

2. Warehouse Workflow Validation

- Validate real-world warehouse flows:
- Inbound → Putaway → Replenishment
- Picking → Packing → Shipping
- Returns and exception handling
- Ensure correctness of:
- Inventory movements
- Order and task states
- Workflow sequencing
- Test under real conditions:
- High order volumes
- Partial failures
- Resource and capacity constraints

3. Testing Decision-Driven (Agentic) Systems

- Test systems that autonomously:
- Prioritize orders
- Assign and reassign tasks
- Optimize inventory movement
- Validate that decisions:
- Respect operational constraints
- Are consistent and predictable
- Recover safely from failures
- Design scenario-based tests covering:
- Decision changes
- State transitions
- Fallback and recovery paths

4.



Python Automation

- Develop scalable automation using Python
- Automate:
- Backend APIs
- Core workflows
- Decision logic validations
- Build reusable frameworks/utilities for:
- Test data setup
- State validation
- End-to-end scenario execution
- Convert critical manual tests into automation

5. UI Automation (Playwright)

- Automate key UI workflows using Playwright, including:
- Order operations
- Inventory dashboards
- Warehouse control panels
- Focus UI automation on:
- High-risk operator actions
- Critical visibility layers
- Ensure UI reflects accurate backend state
- Maintain secure, non-flaky test suites

6. Integration & Data Validation

- Validate consistency across:
- UI
- APIs
- Database
- Test asynchronous and event-driven systems
- Debug using:
- Logs
- API traces
- SQL queries
- Report issues in terms of warehouse impact, not just technical defects

Required Skills & Experience (Must Have)

- 3–5 years in QA / SDET roles
- Hands-on experience with warehouse systems (WMS, WES, OMS, logistics platforms)
- Strong understanding of warehouse workflows and constraints
- Experience testing decision-driven / autonomous systems
- Strong proficiency in Python automation
- Experience with Playwright for UI testing
- Proven ownership of regression testing
- Ability to think in terms of flows, states, and failure scenarios

Good to Have

- Experience with distributed or event-driven architectures
- Exposure to robotics or industrial automation systems
- Ability to debug multi-service production issues
