About Remix Medical
Remix Medical is a US-based medical practice with a growing operation in India. We are hiring an HR Manager to own HR end-to-end across our US team (~25 people, supported by a US PEO) and our India private limited subsidiary, working remotely from New Delhi (NCR) or Pune. You will report directly to US leadership and operate with real autonomy as the sole owner of the people function.
About The Role
You are the HR function. You will partner with our US PEO for compliance, payroll, and benefits, and run day-to-day people operations for both the US team and the India entity. This is a hands-on, ownership-driven role for someone ready to step into a real leadership seat at a small, growing global company.
What You’ll Own
United States — PEO Partnership (~25 employees)
- Own the relationship with our US PEO as the primary point of contact.
- Run US payroll cycles, benefits enrollment, and compliance through the PEO platform.
- Lead US hiring coordination, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
- Conduct US employee relations conversations directly — performance discussions, disciplinary actions, terminations — delivered via video.
- Manage US benefits open enrollment in partnership with the PEO.
- Maintain employee records in BambooHR and ensure data integrity across systems.
India — Subsidiary HR Operations
- Run end-to-end HR for our India Pvt Ltd entity: hiring, onboarding, payroll oversight, statutory compliance (Provident Fund, ESI, gratuity, professional tax, Shops & Establishments), and offboarding.
- Manage relationships with our India payroll vendor and CA/CS partners.
- Build India HR policy that aligns with the broader company while respecting local labor law.
- Handle Indian employee relations and engagement.
Cross-Functional
- Build and continuously improve onboarding, performance cycles, compensation processes,
and offboarding playbooks across both geographies.
- Own BambooHR as the global HRIS source of truth.
- Surface people risks and opportunities to US leadership before they become problems.
- Drive vendor selection and management for HR tools.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years owning HR for a US-based company or US client.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major US PEO platform — Justworks, TriNet, ADP TotalSource, Insperity, Sequoia, or Rippling PEO. Please specify which in your application.
- Strong US HR fluency: US benefits (HSA, FSA, 401(k), COBRA, FMLA, ADA accommodation), onboarding and offboarding, performance management, and terminations.
- India HR depth: Provident Fund, ESI, gratuity, Shops & Establishments compliance, statutory bonus, payroll structure.
- Direct employee relations experience delivered remotely, including investigations, terminations, performance plans, and accommodation requests via video.
- Strong written and verbal English for direct communication with US leadership.
- HRIS proficiency; BambooHR strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA in HR or PGDM-HR preferred.
- Location: New Delhi (NCR) or Pune only for this posting.
- Ability to consistently work evening IST with partial overlap into US Central Time mornings. No overnight shift required.
- Reliable home office setup with stable broadband and a quiet, private workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Prior experience supporting US healthcare, medical practice, or other regulated US industries.
- Background at a Global Capability Center (GCC) of a US multinational, or at a US-headquartered startup with India operations.
- Workforce planning or compensation cycle ownership.
- Experience rolling out HRIS, ATS, or performance management systems.
What You’ll Bring
- Ownership mindset. You treat the people function as your business.
- Comfort operating as the sole HR owner without a senior HR peer above you.
- Clear, direct, professional communication with executive stakeholders.
- Cultural fluency for both US and Indian workplace contexts.
- Discretion and integrity with sensitive personnel information.
- Bias toward action paired with strong documentation discipline.
Schedule, Location, and Compensation
- Full-time, fully remote from India. Candidate must be based in New Delhi (NCR) or Pune.
- Working hours: evening IST with partial overlap into US Central Time mornings. No overnight shift.
- CTC: ₹15,00,000–₹19,00,000 per annum, based on experience and US PEO platform depth. Exceptional candidates may be considered above this range.
- Group health insurance for employee and family, equipment allowance, internet/WFH stipend, performance bonus, and statutory benefits as per Indian labor law.
- Direct reporting line to US-based senior leadership.
How To Apply
Submit your resume along with a short note (3–5 sentences) covering:
- Which US PEO platform(s) you have hands-on experience with, and for how long.
- The size of the US workforce you currently support or have most recently supported.
- Your current location (New Delhi/NCR or Pune) and current/most recent CTC.
- Why this specific role fits where you want to take your career next.
Please include the PEO platform information and confirm your Delhi/NCR or Pune base so we can confidently review your application.
Equal Opportunity
We evaluate applicants based on qualifications, experience, and ability to perform the role, and we welcome candidates from all backgrounds.
