Role Description

This is a full-time, remote role for an IG Reels Editor specializing in episodic drama content in Malayalam. You'll be creating 20-40 episodes per month, working closely with our creative team to produce compelling short-form video content for Instagram. This role requires exceptional timing sense, knowing exactly when to cut and when to let moments breathe to maximize narrative impact and audience retention.

You'll be responsible for the complete edit lifecycle from raw footage to published reels, with a strong focus on pacing, emotional beats,



and cliffhanger structures that keep viewers coming back for the next episode.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in Malayalam language (mandatory - this is Malayalam episodic content)
- Solid editorial timing sense with proven ability to identify the right cut points for dramatic pacing
- Mid-level editing experience with a portfolio demonstrating episodic content edits (drama/narrative reels preferred)
- Deep understanding of Instagram Reels format, retention hooks, and episodic storytelling structure
- Experience in video editing with proficiency in editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar)
- Ability to deliver 20-40 polished episodes per month while maintaining quality and narrative consistency
- Strong grasp of pacing, rhythm, and emotional timing in narrative content
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
- Based in Kerala or strong familiarity with Malayalam content and cultural context
