About the Role

Amity University Jharkhand is inviting applications for the position of Assistant Professor – Clinical Psychology (RCI Registered) . The ideal candidate should possess strong academic, clinical, and research capabilities, with a commitment to excellence in teaching, supervision, and student mentorship.

The role involves delivering high-quality education in Clinical Psychology, supervising clinical training, contributing to research and publications, and supporting the university’s academic and mental health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Academic Delivery

- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Clinical Psychology
- Deliver lectures, seminars, practical sessions, and case discussions
- Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, and assessments
- Guide student dissertations and research projects

Clinical Training & Supervision

- Supervise clinical practicum, internships, and casework
- Train students in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and psychotherapy
- Conduct clinical demonstrations and case conferences
- Coordinate with hospitals and mental health centers for clinical exposure

Research & Publications





- Conduct independent and collaborative research
- Publish in UGC-CARE / Scopus-indexed journals
- Present papers at conferences, seminars, and workshops
- Contribute to departmental research initiatives

Academic Administration

- Assist in curriculum development as per RCI/UGC norms
- Participate in NAAC and accreditation-related activities
- Organize workshops, guest lectures, and mental health awareness programs
- Contribute to departmental and institutional responsibilities

Eligibility Criteria

- M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from an RCI-recognized institution — Mandatory
- Valid RCI Registration (CRR Number) — Mandatory
- Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology / Psychology — Preferred
- Master’s degree in Psychology (M.A./M.Sc.)
- Prior teaching or clinical experience will be an added advantage
