Job Description: Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical (Laminates Manufacturing)

Location: Bhiwadi, Rajasthan

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to oversee the upkeep and repair of heavy machinery within our laminate manufacturing facility in Bhiwadi. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of hydraulic presses, resin plants, and automated finishing lines, ensuring minimum downtime and maximum operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance

- Execute and monitor the Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule for all mechanical equipment to ensure 24/7 plant availability.
- Lead the troubleshooting and rapid repair of critical machinery during breakdowns (e.g., Hydraulic Presses, Boilers, Impregnation lines).
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.

2. Machinery & Systems Oversight

- Hydraulic Systems: Maintenance of high-pressure hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, and seals specific to Multi-Daylight Presses.
- Utility Maintenance: Management of Thermic Fluid Heaters (Boilers), Air Compressors, Cooling Towers, and Water Treatment Plants.
- Conveyor & Gear Systems: Alignment and maintenance of rollers, gearboxes, bearings, and drive chains on the sanding and cutting lines.

3. Spare Parts & Inventory Management

- Maintain a critical spares inventory to ensure immediate availability for emergency repairs.
- Generate Purchase Requisitions (PR)



for mechanical components and coordinate with vendors for quality supplies.

4. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with industrial safety standards and OHSAS guidelines.
- Conduct periodic safety audits of machines and ensure the usage of PPE by the maintenance team.

Required Technical Skills

- Hydraulics & Pneumatics: Expert-level understanding of hydraulic circuits and pneumatic controls.
- Welding & Fabrication: Knowledge of arc/gas welding and basic machine shop operations (Lathe, Drilling).
- Utilities: Hands-on experience with Thermic Fluid Heaters and steam systems.
- Documentation: Proficiency in maintaining Logbooks, History Cards, and SAP/ERP maintenance modules.

Candidate Profile

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing setup, ideally within the Laminate, Plywood, or Particle Board industry.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership abilities to manage a team of technicians and fitters; ability to work under pressure in a shift-based workplace.
