On-Ground Marketing Partner — Rajasthan & West UP Kathputlee Arts & Films | Freelance / Contract | Hybrid Engagement

We are looking for sharp, resourceful on-ground professionals in Rajasthan and West UP to partner with us on the theatrical release of two Hindi feature films — one of which is set right here in Rajasthan.

Not vendors. Not agencies. People who know their city, have local relationships, and can make things happen without a big budget behind them.

The films:

The first — and the one closest to this region — is a Hindi and Marwadi feature film set in a 1990s Rajasthan village. A school on the verge of closure. A young man from the village tasked with winning a state-level badminton tournament to save it. A story rooted in Rajasthani folk culture, heritage, and the stubbornness of the human spirit. The film has won 34 international awards before its theatrical release — Best Sports Film, Best Director, Best Fiction Feature among them. This is Rajasthan's own story, and we want it released with the pride it deserves.

The second is a Hindi family film — a quiet, deeply human story about a 7-year-old girl navigating her parents' divorce, set against the foothills of the Himalayas. Recognised as Most Promising Project at NFDC Film Bazaar 2025, with international festival recognition and robust OTT interest. Both films are from a 3 National Award-winning director whose previous work was Oscar-shortlisted.

What we need on the ground:

Across Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ajmer, Bikaner, Kota, Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, Meerut, Ghaziabad, and Noida — we need people who can handle:

Theatre activations and footfall driving — working with local multiplexes and single screens to build audience turnout before and during release week.

Community screenings and grassroots outreach — schools, colleges, local clubs, cultural organisations, RWAs, women's groups. Building real word-of-mouth at ground level.

Local PR and press coordination — regional newspapers, local journalists, radio, community influencers.



Getting the story told in the local language and context.

Sponsor and partner on-ground execution — if local sponsors or partners come on board, coordinating their presence and activation at events.

You don't need to do all of this alone — but you need to know who in your city can. Resourcefulness matters more than a long resume.

The engagement:

Hybrid model — a modest city-level retainer once scope is confirmed, with a performance reward tied to screens activated, events executed, and local partnerships closed. We are a lean production house. We respect your time and will structure this fairly.

You are the right person if:

You are based in one of these cities — not just "covering" it from elsewhere. You have run events, activations, or outreach campaigns in your city before. You have relationships with local theatre owners, journalists, schools, or community leaders. You can work independently with minimal hand-holding. You understand that frugal and effective are not opposites.

Screening Questions — please answer all three:

1. Which city are you based in, and what is the last on-ground event or activation you personally executed there? Be specific — venue, audience, what you did.
2. For a Hindi film set in Rajasthan releasing in Jaipur or Jodhpur — what is one thing you would do in the first week to build local buzz that a Mumbai-based team could not do?
3. Are you currently freelancing or open to a project-based engagement? Do you work alone or do you have a small local team?
4. Share any portfolio, work samples, or links that show what you have done — events, activations, press coverage you drove, or campaigns you were part of. Even a photo, a news clip, or a social media post from past work counts. We value proof over presentation.
