Job Title: Head – Plant Operations Giga-2 | Prismatic Lithium-ion Cell Manufacturing

Work location : Mahabubnagar, Divitipalli, Telangana, India

Role Purpose :

To lead and own end-to-end manufacturing operations for Giga-2 Prismatic Lithium-ion Cell Manufacturing, ensuring the plant is designed, built, ramped up, and stabilized for high-yield, high-volume, MES-driven prismatic cell production. This role demands hands-on prior experience in prismatic Li-ion cell operations, not transferable from other chemistries or formats.

Mandatory Experience & Background :

- 18–25 years of total manufacturing experience
- 12–15+ years exclusively in Lithium-ion cell manufacturing operations
- Direct hands-on experience with prismatic cell manufacturing (mandatory)
- Proven track record in SOP, ramp-up, and stable operations
- Strong exposure to MES-enabled Li-ion manufacturing environments
- Prior ownership of production, process, quality, and maintenance integration

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

- Own full manufacturing operations for prismatic Li-ion cell production at Giga Scale.
- Define prismatic-specific process flows, takt times, line balancing, and capacity models.
- Play important role in MES architecture and implementation including traceability, genealogy, and data integrity.
- Drive process robustness across electrode–assembly–formation–aging–grading.
- Integrate maintenance strategy (PM, predictive, MTBF/MTTR, spares)



into plant and line design.
- Partner with Projects on equipment specifications, RFIs, Equipment design review, FAT/SAT, and SOP.
- Lead technology transfer absorption and conversion into stable shop-floor execution.
- Establish SOPs, PFMEA, control plans, quality gates, and operational KPIs.
- Define and execute ramp-up, yield improvement, and cost-down roadmaps.
- Build and lead the Giga-2 operations organization (Production, Planning, MES, maintenance).
- Ensure best-in-class EHS, quality, productivity, and cost performance.

Additional Key Responsibilities:

- Drive design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-maintenance (DFMM) principles.
- Establish standard work, digital instructions, and operator training frameworks.
- Define manpower plans, skill matrices, and shift models aligned with automation.
- Lead continuous improvement, yield enhancement, and defect reduction initiatives.
- Support future capacity expansion and plant replication beyond Giga-2. Core Competencies (Non-Negotiable)
- Deep understanding of prismatic Li-ion cell design, process integration, and process failure modes
- Strong command over MES-driven lithium cell manufacturing
- Hands-on experience in high-volume prismatic cell operations
- Ability to translate design intent into stable, scalable manufacturing execution
- Solid leadership during greenfield setup and ramp-up phases
