Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Azure Data Architect with 15+ years of experience to support enterprise clients in assessing their current data landscape and designing scalable, contemporary Azure-based architectures. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to evaluate existing data ecosystems, identify gaps, and define future-state data platforms aligned with business objectives. This is a strategic consulting role requiring expertise in enterprise data architecture, cloud modernization, governance, and Azure-native technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and assess the client’s current application, data, and analytics landscape
- Understand existing architecture, integrations, workflows, and data dependencies
- Identify gaps, performance bottlenecks, scalability concerns, and modernization opportunities
- Design target-state Azure data architecture and roadmap
- Recommend best practices for cloud-native, scalable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions
- Define enterprise data models, data flows, and integration strategies
- Collaborate with business, engineering, and leadership teams to align architecture with business objectives




- Provide architectural guidance for migration from legacy/on-prem systems to Azure
- Establish data governance, security, compliance, and disaster recovery strategies
- Support solution design reviews and provide technical leadership to delivery teams
- Create architecture documents, diagrams, standards, and implementation guidelines

Required Skills

- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud ecosystem
- Hands-on experience with:
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Data Lake
- Azure Databricks
- Azure SQL
- Power BI
- Experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms and modern data architectures
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, big data, and analytics solutions
- Experience with cloud migration and modernization programs
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder management and client communication skills
- Ability to lead architecture discussions and provide strategic recommendations

Preferred Qualifications

- Microsoft Azure certifications preferred
- Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments is a plus
- Exposure to AI/ML data platforms and real-time analytics is an advantage
