Job Title: Area Sales Manager / Area Sales Executive- Government Business
Location: Guwahati (Assam)
Preference: -Guwahati based candidates

About the Role:AKAS Medical Equipment is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented sales professional to manage and expand business within government hospitals and public healthcare institutions.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in medical equipment sales, especially critical care equipment sales in hospitals, with full knowledge and experience in government hospital sectors, including working with government doctors, biomedical engineers, purchase departments, and hospital authorities.
Candidate should also have a strong understanding of government tenders, institutional sales, and procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales of critical care medical equipment such as Syringe Pumps, Infusion Pumps, Patient Monitors, Warmers, Suction Machines, ICU Equipment, and other hospital devices in government hospitals.
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with government hospital authorities, doctors, biomedical engineers, purchase officers, store departments, and key decision-makers.
- Regularly visit government hospitals, medical colleges, district hospitals, and public healthcare institutions to generate new business opportunities.
- Identify upcoming tenders, rate contracts, and procurement requirements for medical equipment in government hospitals.
- Handle complete tender process through GeM portal, e-procurement portals, and offline government tenders.
- Prepare and submit tender documents accurately within timelines by coordinating with internal departments.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions with doctors, biomedical engineers, and hospital management teams.
- Follow up with hospitals for approvals,
technical evaluations, purchase orders, and payment collections.
- Coordinate with service, logistics, and accounts teams for smooth product delivery, installation, and training.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through regular follow-up and prompt issue resolution.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends in government hospital sectors.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets assigned by management.
- Expand business network in Guwahati (Assam) and nearby government healthcare sectors.
- Maintain daily sales reports, visit reports, tender status reports, and business pipeline updates.
- Build long-term brand presence for AKAS Medical Equipment in government healthcare institutions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Experience: 2 to 7 years in Medical Equipment Sales (Critical Care Equipment / Government Hospital Sales preferred)
- Full experience in government hospital sector handling sales activities
- Robust contacts with government doctors, biomedical engineers, and purchase departments preferred
- Qualification: Any Degree
- Strong knowledge of tender processes and government procurement systems
- Good communication and negotiation skills
Additional Requirements:
- Must own a two-wheeler with valid driving license
- Mandatory helmet usage
- Willingness to travel within Guwahati and nearby regions
Compensation:
- Salary: Rs.30,000 to Rs.60,000 per month
- Annual CTC: 3.0 LPA to 7.0 LPA
