Job Description Fireman

Location: Gandhidham (Deployment at Kandla Terminal)
Experience Required: 3–5 Years
Industry: Terminal / Chemical Storage
Facility: Company Bus Transportation from Head Office to Kandla Terminal

Position Overview

We are hiring an experienced Fireman for operations at Kandla Terminal. The candidate will be responsible for fire prevention, emergency response, and ensuring compliance with safety standards within terminal operations, particularly in chemical and hazardous material handling environments.

Key Responsibilities Fire & Emergency Response

- Respond promptly to fire alarms and emergency situations.
- Operate fire-fighting equipment such as hydrant systems, fire extinguishers, foam systems, and fire pumps.
- Participate in mock drills and emergency evacuation exercises.
- Assist in rescue operations during fire or hazardous incidents.

Fire Prevention & Safety Monitoring

- Conduct routine inspection of fire-fighting systems and equipment.
- Ensure fire hydrants, sprinklers, extinguishers, and foam systems are in working condition.
- Monitor hot work activities and issue/verify hot work permits as per safety procedures.
- Identify fire hazards and report unsafe conditions.

Compliance & Documentation

- Maintain fire safety logs, inspection reports, and emergency records.




- Support adherence to statutory fire and safety regulations applicable to terminal operations.
- Assist EHS team during audits and safety inspections.

Coordination & Support

- Work closely with EHS and terminal operations teams.
- Provide fire safety training and awareness to workers and contractors.
- Ensure proper use of PPE during emergency and routine activities.

Eligibility Criteria

- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as Fireman in Terminal / Chemical Plant / Oil & Gas /
- Fireman certification from a recognized institute (Industrial Fire & Safety preferred).
- Knowledge of fire hydrant systems, foam systems, and emergency response procedures.
- Physically fit and medically sound for emergency duties.
- Basic understanding of safety and statutory compliance requirements.
