Ayurvedic Pharmacist & Operations Executive

Role Overvie

This is a high-ownership, multi-function role rare in the market. You will serve as the operational, content, and commercial backbone of Sanatan Ayurveda's growth. You are not just a pharmacist. You will build medicine pages, resolve patient queries, manage stock, talk to distributors, coordinate deliveries, and help us scale our fastest-moving products through contract manufacturing.

Detailed Responsibilities

1. Medicine Pages — Website & App (Accuracy is Non-Negotiable)

- Build complete, accurate product pages for every Ayurvedic medicine listed on the Sanatan Ayurveda website and mobile app
- Content must include: classical name, Sanskrit reference, key ingredients (with Dravyaguna basis), indications, contraindications, dosage, anupana (adjuvant), shelf life, and storage instructions etc
- Ensure all content is factually correct, rooted in classical texts (Charaka Samhita, Sushruta, Ashtanga Hridayam, Sharangdhara), and compliant with AYUSH/CDSCO labelling norms
- Write in both Hindi and English where applicable use accurate Ayurvedic terminology, not loosely paraphrased wellness language
- Coordinate with the web/app team to ensure product data — pricing, availability, SKU codes, pack sizes is correctly reflected across all pages in real time
- Periodically audit existing pages for errors, outdated information, or broken data fields and fix them promptly
- Work with the doctor/Vaidya team to validate clinical claims before any page goes live zero tolerance for inaccurate medical information

2. Customer Query Resolution — Post-Prescription Purchase Support

- Act as the primary point of contact for customer queries about medicines prescribed by Sanatan Ayurveda doctors
- Resolve questions around: correct medicine identification, dosage clarification, how to take (anupana, timing, diet restrictions), expected effects, and storage
- Handle queries across all channels with clinically accurate, patient-friendly responses

E-Commerce Operations & Order Management

- Receive, process, and track online orders from the Sanatan Ayurveda website, app, and any marketplace listings
- Maintain order records, shipping logs, and real-time delivery status updates for customers
- Handle return, replacement, and refund cases professionally and document each resolution
- Coordinate with courier and logistics partners for productive last-mile delivery

4. Third-Party Manufacturing (Strategic Growth Responsibility)

- Continuously monitor sales data to identify fast-moving SKUs that justify third-party manufacturing scale-up
- Research and shortlist GMP-certified Ayurvedic contract manufacturers prioritise Rajasthan, then nearby states
- Own documentation: product dossiers, formulation sheets, AYUSH/CDSCO requirements, label compliance, and manufacturer agreements

5. Inventory Management

- Maintain accurate real-time inventory for raw materials, finished goods, and packaging across dispensary and e-commerce stock
- Set and monitor reorder levels; initiate procurement before stockouts zero tolerance for out-of-stock on fast-moving items
- Conduct periodic physical stock audits and reconcile against system records
- Track expiry dates and manage near-expiry stock proactively

6. Distributor & Vendor Relations

- Build and maintain professional relationships with Ayurvedic medicine distributors, stockists, and wholesalers
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, credit limits, and supply lead times with distributors and raw material vendors
- Resolve supply shortages, quality disputes, and delivery escalations with vendors promptly
- Gather market intelligence: competitor SKUs, pricing movements, distributor feedback on what is selling and what is not

I. Delivery & Field Logistics (Own Vehicle Mandatory)

- Use personal vehicle for local deliveries, supplier pickups, and distributor visits within Ajmer and surrounding areas




- Assist in mapping local distribution touchpoints and evaluating delivery route efficiency
- Fuel and conveyance reimbursed as per company policy

Eligibility & Non-Negotiable Requirements

- B.Pharma (Ayurveda) from a CCIM/UGC-recognised university — MANDATORY
- Valid, current registration with Rajasthan State Pharmacy Council — MANDATORY
- Own vehicle (two-wheeler minimum) with valid driving licence — MANDATORY
- Ability to write accurate medicine content in Hindi and/or English
- Working knowledge of classical Ayurvedic formulations, Dravyaguna, and drug nomenclature
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets for inventory and order records
- High ownership mindset comfortable managing multiple functions without micro-management

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

- 1-3 years experience in Ayurvedic pharmacy, clinic operations, or wellness brand
- Prior experience with website backends (Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom CMS)
- Experience handling customer queries in a clinical or pharmacy setting
- Exposure to GMP manufacturing facilities or Ayurvedic product development
- Knowledge of distributor/channel dynamics in pharma or FMCG
