Summary:

The Senior Engineer Electrical – O&M; plays a critical role in ensuring the reliable and safe operation of rocket engine testing facilities at our Anantapur site. Reporting to the Operation & Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for the end-to-end maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical systems, instrumentation, and automation infrastructure. With a focus on operational excellence, the incumbent ensures uninterrupted power supply, accurate instrumentation accuracy, and compliance with stringent aerospace safety standards. This role is essential to mission success, supporting test readiness and long-term asset reliability in high-stakes environments.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain and troubleshoot power distribution systems, motors, transformers, and control panels to ensure continuous operation.

- Guarantee uninterrupted power supply for critical rocket engine test operations.

- Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for electrical assets to minimize downtime.

- Oversee calibration, operation, and maintenance of sensors, gauges, and instrumentation systems.

- Manage automation systems, including PLCs and SCADA, for seamless test facility operations.

- Ensure all systems comply with aerospace testing protocols and maintain high levels of instrumentation accuracy.

- Enforce electrical and instrumentation safety standards, including IEC and ISO 45001 requirements.

- Conduct risk assessments and lead implementation of corrective and preventive actions.





- Support test readiness activities by ensuring instrumentation and automation systems are fully operational and validated.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.

- 4-7 years of hands-on O&M; experience in industrial plants, with exposure to aerospace or cryogenic systems highly preferred.

- Demonstrated expertise in electrical distribution systems, instrumentation calibration, and automation technologies.

- Familiarity with ERP systems, safety audits, and compliance management protocols.

- Proficiency in design and simulation tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or equivalent software.
