Pricing Strategy & Execution
Execute export ocean pricing strategies in line with company revenue and margin
objectives.
Prepare and manage spot quotes, RFQs, and long-term pricing proposals.
Support development of trade-lane-specific pricing structures under guidance from
leadership.
Monitor market trends, freight rate fluctuations, and competitor pricing.
Carrier & Vendor Coordination
Coordinate with shipping lines, NVOCCs, and vendors to obtain competitive rates and
service options.
Negotiate rates within defined authority limits.
Maintain solid working relationships with carriers for rate support and space
availability.
Track carrier performance in terms of pricing, service, and responsiveness.
Sales Support & Commercial Coordination
Work closely with the Sales team to provide timely and competitive pricing solutions.
Support key accounts, tenders,
and large RFQs with accurate and market-aligned
quotes.
Ensure pricing supports both business growth and margin objectives.
Provide basic market insights and benchmarking to support sales discussions.
Governance & Compliance • Ensure adherence to pricing SOPs, approval matrices, and internal controls. • Maintain proper documentation of quotes, approvals, and rate contracts. • Identify risks related to rate fluctuations and highlight concerns proactively. • Support audit requirements and help prevent revenue leakage. Reporting & MIS • Maintain pricing databases, rate sheets, and trackers. • Prepare regular reports on quote conversion, margins, and pricing trends. • Assist in generating dashboards and performance reports for management review.
