Roles & Responsibilities:

- Oversee railway operations at the power plant, ensuring smooth logistics and strict adherence to safety standards and operational protocols.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted coal transportation and efficient railway infrastructure management.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies for rail tracks, sidings, wagons, and associated railway assets to ensure operational reliability and efficiency.




- Ensure compliance with railway safety regulations, statutory requirements, and Vedanta HSE standards across all railway operations.
- Liaise with Indian Railways, regulatory authorities, contractors, and external stakeholders for seamless coordination and operational excellence.
- Drive process optimization, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives in railway logistics and infrastructure management.
- Lead and mentor railway operations teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
- Support strategic projects related to rail infrastructure expansion, modernization, and operational enhancement at the plant.

Education & Qualifications:

- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- 12+ years of experience in railway systems, logistics, or rail infrastructure management, preferably within thermal power, mining, steel, or heavy industries.
- Solid understanding of railway operations, maintenance practices, safety regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience in coordinating with Indian Railways and handling rail logistics for bulk material transportation.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and contractors.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and execution capabilities with a focus on operational excellence and reliability.
