Level 1: The role holder will not have contact with children and/or young people, or access to personal data about children or young people, as part of their work; therefore a police check will not be mandatory unless the content or location of the role changes, in which case the Child Safeguarding level will be reviewed.
Level 2: Either the role holder will have access to personal data about children and/or young people as part of their work; or they will be working in a regulated position (Finance, Monitoring Evaluation, Legal etc.); therefore a police check will be required.
Level 3: The role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in programs; or are visiting programs; therefore a police check will be required.
ROLE PURPOSE
Main purpose of the role is to provide technical support to implement activities under the project to ensure that Bal Raksha Bharat programme goals, objectives and policies are successfully implemented through the projects/programmes at the state level.
SCOPE OF ROLE
Scope: To provide door-step primary health services to rural communities of selected Villages in Rattihalli of Haveri district, Karnataka.

Role Dimensions
Context: Development / Humanitarian
Roles Responsibilities:
- To support to secure necessary permissions with the Dept. of Health and Family Welfare, WCD Departments of the local government and their overall support and guidance
- To support team to improve the quality and coverage of homebased postnatal care for mother/recent born babies (ensure postnatal care and regular home visits by Frontline health workers)
- Conducting health education sessions on MNCHN care (orientation of frontline workers such as, ASHA workers and Anganawadies.)
- Facilitate community mobilization through Mother committees/Mahaila Arogya Samitis (MAS), health talks, demonstrations, camps, use of media and young champions on MNCHN care (empowering community members by interaction, demonstration, facilitate discussion of Child Health and nutrition issues, involvement of youth champions etc)
- Support local health officials in organizing important health events like Breastfeeding week, Newborn week, Global handwashing day, IDCF and SAANS campaigns, Nutrition Maah, etc. (celebration of important days/event in collaboration of government departments for improved awareness and also spreading awareness in community by launching display van, radio campaign, workshop /webinar, organising street play, demonstration camps etc.)
- Sharing of project learnings at district/state level during meetings, conferences and end of the project dissemination workshops (dissemination of project learnings and findings of end line assessment to the stakeholders)
- Attending the Project Review Meetings on monthly and quarterly basis to give the update on the progress and make necessary recommendations to achieve desired project goals and objectives.
- Prepare quarterly /half yearly /annual narrative and financial reports as agreed with the donor s timeline
- Support to facilitate Baseline and End-line in consultation with the technical expertise internally

QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma or degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
Valid nursing registration or certification from a recognized health authority.
Strong communication skills in local languages and the ability to engage effectively with rural communities.
Basic knowledge of healthcare documentation, patient record-keeping, and data reporting.
Ability to work effectively in a team, show empathy, and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
Willingness to travel and work in rural and remote areas.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in community health outreach, nursing, or primary healthcare services.
Experience working in rural or underserved communities, preferably through Mobile Health Units (MHUs) or similar healthcare projects.
