Senior BI / Data Analytics Engineer – SAP Business Objects

Location: Remote – India

Employment Type: Contract

Shift Timing: Must be available to overlap with US EST hours (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST)

Experience Required: 6–8 years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering roles with solid hands-on expertise in SAP Business Objects and enterprise data warehousing environments.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior BI / Data Analytics Engineer with deep expertise in SAP Business Objects and Snowflake to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade reporting and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical proficiency in BI reporting, SQL optimization, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes, with the ability to transform complex data into meaningful business insights.

Key Responsibilities

BI Development

Design, develop, and maintain complex reports and universes using SAP Business Objects tools including WebI and IDT/UDT.

Develop scalable and high-performing reporting solutions aligned with business requirements.

Data Modeling & Optimization

Build and optimize data models, views, and advanced SQL queries within Snowflake.

Ensure data performance, scalability, and reliability across reporting environments.

Data Integration

Collaborate on ETL/ELT processes to load, transform, and orchestrate data into Snowflake.

Work with integration tools such as Matillion, Informatica, SSIS, or Alteryx.

Data Quality & Support





Troubleshoot data accuracy issues, reporting inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks.

Support production issues, system enhancements, and platform upgrades.

Business Collaboration

Gather and analyze business requirements and convert them into intuitive reporting and analytics solutions.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable business intelligence.

Documentation

Maintain detailed documentation of data models, transformations, reporting logic, and architecture.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong hands-on expertise with SAP Business Objects Suite (WebI, IDT/UDT).

Solid experience working with Snowflake cloud data warehouse.

Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills.

Experience with ETL/Data Integration tools such as Matillion, Informatica, SSIS, or Alteryx.

Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.

Knowledge of BI architecture and reporting best practices.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Nice to Have

Hands-on experience with Matillion ETL.

Exposure to enterprise ERP systems.

Experience working in global or distributed teams.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Self-driven professional capable of working independently in a remote setup.

Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality BI solutions.
