We are looking for an Application Engineer who will work closely with the Design Department while also supporting Sales & Marketing activities.
This role is ideal for a technically solid engineer who enjoys customer interaction, application understanding, and solution-based selling of electromagnetic clutch and brake products.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Application Interface (Primary Role)
- Work closely with the Design / Product Development team on:
- Product selection
- Design modifications
- Custom application requirements
- Interpret customer applications based on:
- Drawings
- Motor specifications
- Load, torque, RPM, duty cycle
- Validate technical feasibility before commercial commitments.
- Support Sales & Business Development teams in:
- Technical discussions with customers
- Product presentations and demos
- Trials, samples, and technical clarifications
- Act as a technical advisor during sales meetings and negotiations.
- Assist in identifying new applications and market opportunities.
4. Customer Interaction
- Interact directly with customers to:
- Understand application challenges
- Recommend suitable technical solutions
- Support trial approvals and validations
- Build long-term technical confidence with customers.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with:
- Design
- Production
- Quality
- Ensure customer requirements are correctly translated into design and manufacturing outputs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Electrical knowledge preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in application engineering of:
- Electromagnetic clutches & brakes
- Motors, drives, or power transmission products
- Strong understanding of:
- Mechanical design basics
- Motor-driven systems
- Industrial applications
- Interest and aptitude for sales, customer handling, and marketing exposure.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
