Job Title: Plant Head

Department: Cable – Oversea Department

Location- Ambarnath ,Navi Mumbai

1. Job Purpose

The Plant Head will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the cable

manufacturing plant, ensuring production, maintenance, quality, and shipping targets are met.

The role involves strategic planning, team leadership, compliance adherence, cost control, and

continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficient and high-quality output aligned with

company objectives.

2. Key Responsibilities

● Coordinate production, maintenance, quality, and shipping activities to meet

organizational goals.

● Plan, organize, direct, and manage plant operations to ensure optimal productivity.

● Lead and mentor plant teams to foster teamwork and resolve employee-related issues.

● Drive implementation of safety, quality, innovation, HR, and operational best practices.

● Develop and manage budgets using accurate forecasting models.

● Enforce compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

● Provide constructive feedback to team members and promote a high-performance

culture.

● Initiate and oversee continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen) to optimize processes.

● Monitor key performance indicators and ensure resource and cost efficiencies.

● Prepare and present periodic reports and MIS to management.

3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

● Achievement of production and sales targets

● Improvement in plant utilization and productivity

● Reduction in resource and inventory costs

● Number and impact of process improvement initiatives





● Budget adherence and expense control

4. Job Context

The role requires a seasoned skilled with full responsibility for ensuring the smooth and

efficient running of the plant. The Plant Head must effectively coordinate across teams while

focusing on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

5. Communication & Working Relationships

● Cross-functional collaboration with production, quality, maintenance, HR, and supply

chain teams

● Regular presentation of MIS reports to management

● Active involvement in team discussions and problem-solving initiatives

6. Decision-Making Authority & Boundaries

● Authority to make decisions regarding plant operations within the defined budget and

strategic guidelines set by management

● Escalation of issues requiring strategic direction or budget overrun to senior

management

7. Qualifications & Experience

● Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E.)

● Minimum 10 years of experience in the cable industry, specifically in Production,

Maintenance, and Quality

● Strong knowledge of business management principles including budgeting, strategic

planning, and resource allocation
