Project Manager - General Manager MPPHSCL

Project--Integrated Medical Supply Chain & Warehouse Operations Project of MPPHSCL

Location- Bhopal

Preferred candidate should have flexibility to travel across all regional warehouse locations.

Role Summary

- The General Manager Project Operations will be responsible for complete leadership,
- operational management, customer coordination, SLA achievement, warehouse monitoring,
- transportation management, and regulatory compliance for the entire medical supply chain
- project comprising 10 regional warehouses across Madhya Pradesh.
- The candidate should possess minimum 15 years of experience in large-scale warehouse
- operations, pharma logistics, healthcare supply chain, and government project management.
- Preference will be given to candidates belonging to Madhya Pradesh having strong liaison
- capabilities with government authorities and healthcare departments.
- The role requires strong leadership capabilities to manage multi-location warehouse
- operations, transportation activities, inventory control, KPI management, and customer
- relationship management with MPPHSCL and associated government stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Leadership & Operations Management

- Lead complete operations of all 10 regional warehouses along with 300 Manpower
- across Madhya Pradesh.
- Ensure smooth and uninterrupted medical supply chain operations.
- Monitor daily warehouse activities and operational performance.
- Conduct regular review meetings with all Regional Warehouse Managers.
- Develop operational strategies to improve service levels and efficiency.
- Ensure achievement of all contractual obligations and project deliverables.
- Drive operational discipline, governance, and compliance culture.

2. Coordination with Regional Warehouse Managers

- Closely coordinate with all 10 Regional Warehouse Managers.
- Review daily inward, storage, dispatch, and inventory activities.
- Monitor manpower deployment and warehouse productivity.
- Resolve operational bottlenecks and escalation issues.
- Conduct periodic operational audits and performance reviews.
- Ensure implementation of SOPs across all warehouses uniformly.

3. Warehouse Operations Management

- Monitor end-to-end warehouse operations including:
- Inward receipt
- GRN processing
- Inventory management
- Batch tracking
- Expiry monitoring
- Picking & packing
- Dispatch operations
- Ensure adherence to FEFO/FIFO inventory practices.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for pharmaceutical products.
- Monitor stock accuracy and inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure optimum warehouse utilization and operational efficiency.

4. Transportation & Distribution Management

- Ensure timely completion of all inward and outward transportation activities.
- Monitor vehicle placement, route planning, and dispatch schedules.
- Ensure timely delivery to hospitals and healthcare institutions.
- Track transportation KPIs and delivery performance.
- Ensure cold-chain compliance for temperature-sensitive medicines.
- Coordinate with transport vendors for uninterrupted operations.

5. Client Coordination & Government Liaison

- Act as primary point of contact for MPPHSCL management.
- Ensure timely response to all customer emails and communications.




- Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalation management.
- Participate in review meetings with MPPHSCL and government officials.
- Liaise with government officials up to Managing Director (MD) level.
- Present operational MIS, dashboards, and project performance reports.
- Maintain professional and healthy client relationships.

6. KPI / SLA Ownership

- Ensure 99.99% operational SLA and KPI achievement.
- Monitor daily KPI performance across all warehouses.
- Closely coordinate with Regional Managers for SLA adherence.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for operational gaps.
- Minimize operational penalties through proactive monitoring.
- Ensure on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and reporting compliance.

7. Pharma Compliance & Quality Management

- Ensure compliance with:
- Drugs & Cosmetics Act
- GDP/GSP guidelines
- Pharma warehousing standards
- Cold-chain requirements
- Biomedical waste norms
- Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness.
- Coordinate internal and external compliance audits.
- Ensure deployment of registered pharmacists and trained manpower.
- Monitor batch traceability and expiry management systems.

8. Government Project Management

- Handle operations of large government healthcare projects.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and statutory obligations.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and reporting requirements.
- Support project reviews, inspections, and government audits.
- Ensure alignment with public healthcare supply chain objectives.

9. Team Leadership & People Management

- Lead and mentor Regional Warehouse Managers and support teams.
- Develop performance-driven operational culture.
- Monitor manpower productivity and discipline.
- Conduct operational review meetings and training sessions.
- Ensure smooth communication across all project locations.

10. Inventory Management Responsibilities

- Ensure accurate inventory management across all 10 regional warehouses.
- Monitor stock availability, stock ageing, and inventory movement on daily basis.
- Ensure timely GRN (Goods Receipt Note) processing for all inward materials.
- Monitor batch-wise and expiry-wise inventory tracking.
- Ensure strict adherence to FEFO/FIFO inventory management practices.
- Conduct daily inventory reconciliation between physical stock and system stock.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and near-expiry inventory.
- Ensure proper segregation of damaged, expired, and quarantined stock.
- Coordinate inter-warehouse stock transfers to avoid stock shortages.
- Monitor stock accuracy and inventory variance across all warehouses.
- Ensure cycle counting and periodic physical stock verification activities.
- Review inventory reports and take corrective actions for discrepancies.
- Ensure inventory availability as per customer demand and distribution plan.
- Minimize inventory loss, damages, expiries, and pilferage.




- Monitor inventory KPIs including:
- Inventory Accuracy
- Stock Availability
- Expiry Percentage
- Stock Turnover
- Order Fulfillment Rate
- Ensure proper barcode/batch traceability system implementation.
- Coordinate with procurement and customer teams for inventory planning.
- Ensure timely closure of inventory-related audit observations.
- Maintain proper documentation for inventory transactions and compliance audits.
- Ensure system discipline and real-time inventory updation in ERP platform.

Experience Requirement

- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience
- Experience in pharma warehousing and healthcare logistics mandatory
- Experience in handling multi-location warehouse operations
- Experience in government healthcare projects preferred
- Robust exposure to transportation and distribution management
- Experience in ERP-based warehouse operations
