Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer - Piping for our Jamnagar project. The candidate should have strong experience in piping fabrication, erection, site execution, team handling, client coordination, planning, quality, and safety compliance. Candidates having experience in refinery, oil & gas, petrochemical, or large industrial projects will be preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise piping fabrication and erection activities at site.
- Review and interpret isometric drawings, P&ID;, GA drawings, spool drawings, support drawings, and technical specifications.
- Plan daily, weekly, and monthly piping execution activities as per project schedule.
- Allocate work fronts to engineers, supervisors, welders, fitters, riggers, and subcontractor teams.
- Coordinate with client, consultant, subcontractors, planning, QA/QC, safety, stores, and procurement teams.
- Monitor site progress and ensure achievement of daily and weekly targets.
- Ensure proper fit-up, alignment, welding, spool erection, pipe support installation, bolt tightening, and hydrotest preparation.
- Identify site constraints, drawing issues, material shortages, and execution bottlenecks, and coordinate for timely resolution.
- Ensure work execution as per approved drawings, method statements, ITP, WPS, quality plan, and project specifications.




- Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspection clearance, NDT, punch list closure, hydrotest clearance, and final handover.
- Ensure compliance with site HSE requirements, permit-to-work system, toolbox talks, PPE, and safe working practices.
- Review manpower productivity and optimize resources to improve work progress.
- Prepare and submit daily progress reports, manpower reports, material status, and site activity updates.
- Attend client meetings, site coordination meetings, and progress review meetings.
- Support pre-commissioning activities including flushing, hydrotesting, reinstatement, punch point clearance, and documentation.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of piping fabrication and erection execution.
- Good understanding of refinery / oil & gas / industrial piping works.
- Ability to lead site teams and subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of piping drawings, isometrics, P&ID;, and GA drawings.
- Knowledge of welding, NDT, hydrotesting, mechanical completion, and punch list closure.
- Good planning, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Valuable communication skills for client and internal coordination.
- Knowledge of QA/QC and HSE procedures at industrial project sites.

Candidate Criteria

- Must have 12 to 15 years of relevant experience in mechanical / piping execution.
- Must be M.Tech / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Piping fabrication / erection experience is preferred.
- Experience in refinery, petrochemical, oil & gas, or large industrial projects will be an advantage.
- Candidate should be willing to work at Jamnagar.
- Immediate or short notice joiners preferred.
