Job Summary

We are looking for Engineers - Piping for the Jamnagar project. The candidate should have hands-on experience in piping fabrication, erection, site supervision, drawing reading, manpower coordination, quality inspection coordination, and safety compliance. Candidates with piping fabrication / erection experience will be preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Supervise day-to-day piping fabrication and erection works at site.
- Execute piping activities as per approved drawings, project specifications, and instructions from senior engineers.
- Read and understand isometric drawings, P&ID;, piping layout drawings, spool drawings, and support drawings.
- Coordinate with fitters, welders, riggers, helpers, subcontractors, and site supervisors for smooth execution.
- Monitor fit-up, welding, alignment, pipe support installation, erection, bolt tightening, and related piping activities.
- Ensure availability of material, tools, tackles, consumables, and work fronts before starting activities.
- Coordinate with QA/QC team for stage-wise inspection, fit-up clearance, welding clearance, NDT, and final inspection.
- Maintain proper material identification, spool tracking, and site execution records.
- Follow project quality requirements, ITP, WPS, method statements, and client specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety rules,



PPE usage, toolbox talks, work permits, and protected work practices.
- Report daily work progress, manpower deployment, material status, and site issues to the senior engineer.
- Highlight drawing discrepancies, material shortages, access issues, and site constraints to the reporting manager.
- Support hydrotesting, flushing, reinstatement, punch list clearance, and mechanical completion activities.
- Maintain coordination with other departments such as civil, electrical, instrumentation, QA/QC, safety, planning, and stores.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of piping fabrication and erection activities.
- Ability to read isometric drawings, P&ID;, GA drawings, and piping layouts.
- Basic knowledge of welding, fit-up, alignment, pipe supports, hydrotesting, and punch list clearance.
- Good site supervision and manpower handling skills.
- Knowledge of industrial site safety and quality procedures.
- Ability to coordinate with workers, supervisors, QA/QC, safety, and senior engineers.
- Good reporting and communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge, especially MS Office, for reports and documentation.

Candidate Criteria

- Must have 5 to 12 years of relevant experience in mechanical / piping execution.
- Must be M.Tech / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in piping fabrication / erection is preferred.
- Experience in refinery, petrochemical, oil & gas, power plant, or industrial projects will be an added advantage.
- Candidate should be willing to work at Jamnagar.
- Immediate or short notice joiners preferred.
