Job Summary

Shriram General Insurance is seeking a skilled Android Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications that support the company's digital initiatives. The role involves building scalable and user-friendly mobile applications, integrating backend services, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless mobile experiences.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications using modern development practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend developers to implement application features and enhancements.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.
- Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services into mobile applications.
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and issue resolution to ensure application stability.
- Optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, and scalability across Android devices.
- Conduct unit testing and participate in code reviews to maintain application quality.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and data protection requirements.




- Stay updated with emerging Android technologies and recommend improvements where applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Robust proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java for Android development.
- Experience with Android Studio, Android SDK, and Gradle build systems.
- Knowledge of Android UI components, layouts, and material design principles.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON parsing, and third-party integrations.
- Understanding of mobile application architecture patterns such as MVVM or MVC.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Android Jetpack components such as ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation, and Room.
- Familiarity with Firebase services including Analytics, Crashlytics, and Push Notifications.
- Knowledge of dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.
- Understanding of publishing and maintaining applications on the Google Play Store.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
