As a Copy Editor, you will join the editorial team to maintain the highest quality standards for scientific, technical, medical, and academic publications. You are responsible for ensuring grammatical precision, stylistic consistency, and adherence to established style guides, while managing complex content workflows within quick-paced production cycles. Your work involves refining manuscripts for clarity and impact, ensuring they are publication-ready and meet the specific requirements of global publishers.

Primary Responsibilities
Review and revise content for accuracy and quality, including spelling, styling, grammar, punctuation, headings, and formatting of references.
Edit documents as per the publisher's language and style requirements.
Check manuscripts/articles submitted by authors for punctuation, spelling, clarity, consistency, and subject-verb agreement.
Ensure that documents are prepared for the next stage (language editing) and converted into marked-up documents.




Communicate and work with the production team to ensure content is published in a timely manner.
Handle high-level copy editing, including both style and language aspects.
Handle heavy math articles/books, as well as complex tables and chemical equations.

Desired Skills & Experience
Experience: Minimum 35 years of experience in Copy Editing, Language Editing, or Style Editing of journals/books with high emphasis on quality.
Language Skills: Excellent command of English (written and verbal), with robust grammar skills (especially subjectverb agreement).
Style Manuals: Mastery of journal styles and familiarity with manuals such as Chicago, APA, CBE, AMA, and MLA.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with Microsoft Word functions like track changes and comments.
Work Style: Versatile to work in rotational shifts and capable of working both individually and as part of a team.
