Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Halwai based at Ramada by Wyndham in Ghaziabad. The Halwai will be responsible for preparing a variety of traditional Indian sweets and desserts, maintaining the quality and authenticity of recipes. The role involves measuring and mixing ingredients, controlling cooking processes to achieve consistency, and presenting finished sweets attractively to maintain high service standards.
The Halwai will also ensure proper hygiene and safety protocols are followed in the kitchen workplace.
Qualifications
Expertise in preparing diverse Indian sweets (mithai) such as laddoos, barfis, halwa, jalebis, and more using traditional methods.
Proficient in using kitchen equipment, utensils, and tools required for sweet preparation, along with an understanding of food safety standards.
Solid attention to detail, consistency in taste, and a creative approach to food presentation.
Ability to manage ingredient inventory and contribute to food cost management by minimizing wastage.
Capable of working in a team-based environment with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage large-scale production during peak times.
Formal training in culinary arts or relevant work experience is preferred; prior experience in a qualified kitchen or hotel environment is an advantage.
