Hiring for Db2 Developer

Role Description This is a contract, in office DB2 Developer role based in the Bangalore Urban district. The DB2 Developer will design, develop, and maintain DB2 databases, including schema design, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities include analyzing business and application requirements, writing productive SQL queries, and optimizing existing database objects for scalability and reliability. The role involves collaborating with application developers and architects to integrate DB2 with back-end systems, troubleshoot database issues, and support deployments and releases. The DB2 Developer will also participate in code reviews, create technical documentation, and support data integrity, security, and backup/recovery procedures in line with organizational standards.

Qualifications
Solid foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and database fundamentals.




Experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with exposure to multi-tier architectures and APIs.
Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), preferably using languages commonly integrated with DB2 (such as Java, .NET, or similar).
Hands-on experience with DB2 database development, including SQL, stored procedures, triggers, views, indexing, and query optimization.
Familiarity with database performance tuning, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting techniques in enterprise environments.
Understanding of data modelling , normalization, and relational database design best practices.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and document work effectively.
Experience in large-scale, high-availability systems and working with Agile or similar development methodologies is beneficial.
