Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and performance-driven Digital Marketing / Advertising Specialist with approx. 3 years of hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns, with a primary focus on YouTube and video advertising. The ideal candidate has a strong command of video campaign strategy, bulk execution, optimization, audience targeting, brand suitability controls, and lift-based performance measurement.
This role owns the end-to-end management of video advertising campaigns: strategizing, launching, optimizing, and reporting, to drive awareness, engagement, and measurable outcomes across Google's video ecosystem. The candidate must be able to operate independently, own client accounts, and translate performance data into explicit optimization recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, strategize, execute, and optimize Google Ads video campaigns across YouTube and partner networks.
- Manage end-to-end campaign setup, including audience, topic, placement, and content targeting, bidding strategies, budget allocation, and creative implementation.
- Execute campaigns in bulk, building and structuring full campaign details in Excel for bulk upload, and managing builds and edits through Google Ads Editor.
- Develop and execute YouTube advertising strategies aligned with client objectives.
- Apply brand suitability and brand safety controls, including placement exclusions, content exclusions, inventory and content suitability settings, to ensure campaigns run against appropriate content.
- Set up, run, and interpret Brand Lift and Conversion Lift studies within Google Ads, and use the results to inform optimization.
- Monitor campaign performance and make data-driven optimization recommendations to improve KPIs.
- Analyze campaign metrics such as views, view rate, VCR, CPV, CPM, CTR, conversions, watch time, and audience engagement.
- Implement and manage YouTube ad formats, including:
- Skippable In-Stream Ads
- Non-Skippable In-Stream Ads
- In-Feed Video Ads
- Bumper Ads
- YouTube Shorts Ads
- Masthead Campaigns (awareness-focused)
- Build and manage audience segments, remarketing lists, and customer match audiences.
- Own assigned accounts end-to-end: manage day-to-day performance, prepare and share reports with clients, align with their requirements, and outline clear optimization recommendations.
- Collaborate with creative teams to provide recommendations on video assets and messaging for improved performance.
- Prepare regular campaign reports, insights, and performance presentations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, platform updates, and emerging video advertising best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Approx. 3 years of hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns, with a primary focus on Video/YouTube advertising.
- Demonstrated experience running and optimizing YouTube campaigns at scale.
- Proven proficiency with bulk campaign execution: structuring campaigns in Excel for bulk upload and using Google Ads Editor for builds and edits.
- Strong understanding of the Google Ads platform and the full YouTube advertising ecosystem.
- Experience with audience targeting, remarketing, conversion tracking, and campaign optimization.
- Working knowledge of brand suitability and brand safety controls (placement and content exclusions, suitability settings).
- Proficiency in campaign analysis and performance reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the ability to own client-facing reporting and recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Ads Certification (Video and Measurement certifications strongly preferred).
- Hands-on experience designing and interpreting Brand Lift and Conversion Lift studies.
- Experience working within a digital advertising agency or performance marketing setting.
- Familiarity with brand safety/suitability platforms and third-party verification.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking implementation.
- Understanding of broader digital marketing channels and attribution models.
