STAFF NURSE CUM RECEPTIONIST

Job Title: Staff Nurse cum Receptionist

Location: Chandapura, Bengaluru (local candidates preferred)

Employment Type: Full time, 6 days a week

Weekly Off: Sunday fixed off

Work Timings: 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM and 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM (split shift with afternoon break)

Salary: ₹12,000 – ₹16,000 per month

Probation: 6 months – role continuation and salary revision based on clinic's operational progress and individual performance

Notice Period: 1 month (or immediate if performance unsatisfactory)

Overtime: Overtime pay applicable for extra hours or holiday work

Basic Skills Required (Mandatory):

· GNM or B.Sc Nursing with valid nursing registration certificate

· Minimum 1 year clinical experience (clinic/hospital setting)

· Proficient in Computer, Microsoft Word, and Excel (data entry, basic tables, patient log maintenance)

· Fluent in Kannada and English (reading, writing, speaking)

· Well-versed in all nursing duties including drawing blood, administering injections, wound dressing, assisting doctors, handling diagnostic samples, monitoring vitals

· Ability to manage reception and billing – phone calls, appointments, payments, patient records

· Soft-spoken, patient, and empathetic

How the Nurse Should Keep the Clinic:

· Maintain cleanliness at reception, nursing station, and waiting area

· Ensure all medical equipment (BP apparatus, glucometer, sterilizer) is cleaned and ready before each shift

· Keep patient files, lab reports, and prescription records organized (physical or EMR)

· Check expiry of consumables (syringes, gloves, cotton) and inform manager

· Follow infection control protocols – hand hygiene,



safe disposal of sharps and biomedical waste

Handling Patients & Follow-ups:

· Greet every patient with a calm, kind smile

· Listen actively without interrupting

· For daycare patients: explain procedure, obtain consent, monitor post-procedure, provide written home care instructions in Kannada or English

· Maintain daily log of patients needing review. Call or message 24 hours before scheduled follow-up

· If a patient misses follow-up, make one polite reminder call – no harassment

· For elderly or anxious patients: offer water, speak slower, involve doctor if needed

Additional Notes:

· You will work alone during your shift (no separate receptionist or billing assistant)

· Basic training on clinic’s EMR software will be provided; no practical test at interview

· No accommodation or travel allowance – only candidates from Chandapura or nearby areas (Anekal, Electronic City, Jigani) should apply
