Job Summary The Laboratory Technician is responsible for conducting laboratory tests, preparing samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, recording results, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role supports accurate testing and analysis to assist in research, diagnostics, manufacturing, or quality control processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests and analyses accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and testing materials.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Record, analyze, and report test results.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.
- Monitor inventory of laboratory supplies and assist with procurement.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment and testing issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records.
Qualifications
- Diploma, Bachelor's degree,
or certification in Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- Previous laboratory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety regulations, and quality control practices.
- Proficiency in computer applications and laboratory information systems.
- Solid attention to detail and analytical skills.
