Job Title: Cath Lab Technician / Cath Lab Technologist

Job Summary

The Cath Lab Technician / Technologist will assist cardiologists and clinical teams in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab). The role involves operating specialized equipment, ensuring patient safety, maintaining procedural readiness, and supporting emergency and elective cardiac interventions.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, and other Cath Lab procedures.
- Prepare the Cath Lab, equipment, instruments, and consumables prior to procedures.
- Operate and monitor Cath Lab imaging and monitoring equipment.
- Ensure proper patient preparation, positioning, and monitoring during procedures.
- Maintain accurate procedure documentation and records.
- Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with nursing staff, physicians, and other clinical departments for smooth procedural workflow.
- Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and readiness of Cath Lab equipment and accessories.
- Follow radiation safety protocols and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.




- Support emergency cardiac procedures and interventions as required.

Eligibility Criteria

- Diploma in Cath Lab Technology or
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Cath Lab Technology or a related allied healthcare discipline.
- Minimum 1 Year to 6 Years of relevant experience in a Cath Lab setting.
- Knowledge of cardiac procedures, Cath Lab equipment, and patient monitoring systems.
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) or certification/training related to radiation safety will be an added advantage.
- Experience in handling interventional cardiology procedures and emergency cardiac cases.

Shift Requirements

- Willingness to work in rotational shifts as per departmental requirements.
- Must be available for emergency procedures and on-call duties when required.
- Flexibility to work beyond regular hours during critical or emergency situations.
