The role is responsible for driving state-level business growth across Seed, Crop Protection, Crop Nutrition, and Fertilizer categories in Karnataka, with a strong focus on North Karnataka markets including Hubli, Ballari, and Davanagere. The candidate will lead multi-layered sales teams, execute territory-wise growth strategies, and build a high-performance execution culture. This role requires solid expertise in agri-input sales, secondary sales management, direct-to-retailer distribution, and market development while closely collaborating with senior leadership for strategic business planning.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive Karnataka revenue growth across Seed, Crop Protection, Crop Nutrition, and Fertilizer businesses through aggressive territory expansion initiatives.
- Expand market presence across Hubli, Ballari, Davanagere, and emerging North Karnataka agricultural markets through strategic business planning.
- Strengthen retailer relationships using direct-to-retailer distribution models while minimizing dependency on traditional distributor-led business structures effectively.
- Identify high-potential districts, cropping patterns, and emerging market opportunities to improve overall territory penetration and sales productivity.
- Develop territory-specific sales strategies, business plans, and go-to-market initiatives for sustainable and profitable regional business growth.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends,



market intelligence, and farmer demand patterns to support informed commercial decision-making consistently.
- Drive secondary sales growth, retailer engagement programs, product visibility campaigns, and strong field-level execution across assigned territories.
- Lead, mentor, and monitor Cluster Managers, Territory Managers, and MDOs to ensure productivity improvement and performance excellence consistently.
- Coordinate with senior leadership teams for business reviews, strategic planning, category expansion, and successful new product launch execution.

Ideal Candidate Profile

1. 8+ years of agri-input sales experience across Seed, Crop Protection, Crop Nutrition, or Fertilizer businesses.
2. Strong understanding of Karnataka agri-input markets, especially North Karnataka geography and regional cropping patterns.
3. Experience managing multi-layered sales teams including Cluster Managers, Territory Managers, and field development teams.
4. Strong exposure to direct-to-retailer distribution models and secondary sales management across large territories.
5. Demonstrated success in territory expansion, market development, and driving growth in highly competitive agricultural markets.
6. Robust analytical ability to evaluate market trends, competition, pricing strategies, and farmer demand behavior effectively.
7. Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, execution capabilities, and ability to build high-performance field sales teams successfully.
