Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic, highly resilient, and entrepreneurial Study Abroad Manager to spearhead our brand-new operations in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. VIS is in an exciting, high-growth expansion phase within India, this role demands a visionary leader who possesses the grit, strategic acumen, and local market insight to build everything from scratch. The ideal candidate will not just manage an established system, but will actively set up local operations, build a high-performing team of overseas education counselors, establish a robust local market presence, and drive the business from infancy to a thriving hub. Key Responsibilities 1. Branch Setup & Operational Leadership Build Operations from Scratch: Take complete ownership of establishing the Ahmedabad branch, from supervising local infrastructure readiness to setting up daily operational workflows and CRM tracking mechanisms. Talent Acquisition & Cultivation: Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor a brand-current team of study abroad counselors, documentation specialists, and administrative staff, instilling the corporate values and performance benchmarks of VIS. Launch Localized Marketing: Design, launch, and execute grassroots marketing strategies, local school/college outreach programs, and public seminars to generate immediate brand awareness and an active pipeline of student leads in Ahmedabad and surrounding regions like Gandhinagar, Anand, and Vadodara. 2.



Student Counseling & Academic Mapping Lead by example by personally conducting high-level, premium counseling sessions for students and working professionals during the initial launch phase. Oversee specialized portfolios, including High School Study Abroad (USA , Canada, UK ,Czech Republic), Higher Studies (UG/PG), and niche options as well. Provide comprehensive direction on financial planning, scholarship opportunities, education loans, and post-study work regulations. 3. End-to-End Application & Compliance Monitoring Ensure strict quality control over university application documentation, including Statements of Purpose (SOPs), Letters of Recommendation (LORs), and financial portfolios. Supervise the complete visa processing cycle to maintain VIS’s benchmark 95% visa success rate, enforcing accurate compliance with changing international immigration regulations. Coordinate with the internal standardized testing teams to align student profiling with IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE coaching requirements. 4. Network & Market Expansion Proactively build and expand relationships with local sub-agents, recruiters, high schools, and coaching institutes across Gujarat to rapidly scale the B2B lead pipeline. Act as the chief liaison between the nascent Ahmedabad branch and corporate management to report progress, manage budgets, and align local growth with national expansion goals. Required Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Education, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in the overseas education industry, with at least 2 years in a senior counseling, team lead,



or branch management role. Startup/Expansion Experience: Prior experience in setting up a new branch office, launching a startup venture, or scaling a business unit from the ground up within the education consultancy sector is highly preferred. Domain Knowledge: In-depth familiarity with major student destination ecosystems (USA, UK, Canada, Europe) along with hands-on knowledge of student visa patterns and requirements. Language Proficiency: Impeccable verbal and written English communication skills. Professional fluency in Gujarati and Hindi is mandatory to effectively engage with local students, parents, and regional institutional partners. Core Competencies Entrepreneurial Mindset: High risk-tolerance, self-motivated, and comfortable navigating ambiguity to establish structure where none exists. Resilience & Drive: A proven track record of meeting revenue milestones under tight deadlines during a company's expansion or launch phase. Analytical Problem-Solving: Exceptional capability to troubleshoot operational bottlenecks and handle complex student visa or admission profiles independently. Location & Relocation Terms Primary Work Location: 504, The Orion, Near Shree Balaji Temple, SG Highway, Ahmedabad, . Relocation Mandate: Important Notice: Candidates applying from outside Gujarat must be completely willing to relocate to Ahmedabad prior to their date of joining. Current residence in or immediate, self-managed relocation to the Ahmedabad region is a non-negotiable prerequisite for this management role.
