Role Description: This is a full-time remote role for a Tutor for Scratch (Online) at Codeyoung. The tutor will conduct live, interactive Scratch programming classes for kids and teens, following Codeyoung’s curriculum while adapting explanations to different age groups and skill levels. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning engaging lessons, guiding students through coding projects, troubleshooting basic technical issues, and providing constructive feedback on assignments.

The tutor will also track individual student progress, communicate updates to parents or guardians as needed, and collaborate with the academic team to improve content and teaching methods. The role involves maintaining a positive,



inclusive online classroom environment where learners feel safe to experiment, ask questions, and learn from mistakes.

Qualifications: Strong proficiency in Scratch programming and basic computer science concepts suitable for young learners.

Experience teaching or mentoring children or teens in an online or classroom setting, preferably in STEM or coding.

Explicit, patient, and engaging communication skills, with the ability to explain technical ideas in simple, age-appropriate language.

Comfort using online teaching tools and platforms (video conferencing, digital whiteboards, learning management systems).

Demonstrated ability to manage group dynamics in a virtual classroom and create an inclusive, student-centric learning setting.

Strong organizational skills for planning lessons, tracking progress, and meeting schedules and deadlines.

Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Computer Science, Education, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Prior experience in curriculum delivery or educational content creation is an advantage.

Availability to work flexible schedule, including evenings or weekends, based on learner time zones.
